Our senior vet, Dermot Doherty MVB(Hons) GPCert(SAM) MRCVS, has dedicated more than 20 years at Regan Vets to studying and developing his interest in small animal medicine, enabling us to offer high quality care to more complex medical cases. Dermot has a particular interest in cardiology, and if your vet feels your pet needs a more thorough assessment they may recommend an appointment with Dermot at our New Moston clinic.
For such an appointment, 20-30 minutes will be allotted for each case when a full history will be taken and clinical examination carried out.
Following this, further investigation and/or treatment options are discussed including the relative merits and the costs involved. For urgent cases, it may be possible to arrange a referral the same day.
Most cases for investigation will be expected to stay at the clinic for several hours. Ideally the dogs and cats should not be fed on the day of their appointment.
Dermot is interested in all forms of suspected cardiac and respiratory disease. If you have any doubts or questions regarding the suitability of a case or costs involved please contact your local practice who will advise accordingly.
